In today's times, the idea of having a washer and dryer in the home or apartment are as common as having a refrigerator. In prior years (prior to the 1990's), laudromats were a necessity, and in certain demographical areas they still are, however for the most part the laundromat business is not as popular as a business or as a residential area necessity as it once was. I would say it would have to be in an older area with older homes or apartment properties, where washer and dryer connections were not available in those dwellings. This is just my opinion, but again most people regard a washer and dryer as a necessity in the home these days.
