where can I find other people interested in partnering to buy a business

I am in the Kansas City area ( Johnson Co.) and would like to find others interested in buying a business together. Any ideas where I can find others in the area who would consider a partnership/multiple owner arrangement?

Ron,

One suggestion would be to clarrify what type of partner you are looking for and the type of percentage you are willing to give up to partner with someone. I suggest if you can go into business without a partner do so. It makes things less complicated in the end. There are few sites like bizbuysell that are out there. You could always contact your local business broker or a broker in the area you are looking to buy for assistance. I hope that helps some and good luck in your business venture

Hi Ron,

I recommend placing a very succinct ad on Craig's List under "Business For Sale" in your area. It's not only free - it localizes your search. Be prepared to provide financials, the fair market value of assets, and your resume to those who sign a Non-Disclosure Agreement. I would also advise using an e-mail address as your point of contact - too many 'tire-kickers' find it overly easy to just pick up a phone.

Thanks
Good Luck!

Hello Ron, Something just came into me that I think you might like. Investment of $250K will get you 60% ownership into a produce company with 3 buildings of real estate. They curently net over $1,000,000. The purchase price is $2,839,000 and $1,000,000 down, and the seller will invest $250,000 for 20% interest and the balance over 36 months at prime rate 4%.

That means that the buyer will need very little cash, only $250,000 and the prior owner does very little there as the business is run by managers, will be a 20% owner to assist in the transition, the owner is not active, and this purchase will be easily financed as it also has 3 pieces of real estate as well included.

This is also a business that can add the locations and internet at the BUYERS location as a branch too. The other locations can be monitored via internet web cams, and cash controls.

Let me know if you are SERIOUSLY interested as the deal is actively being started up, and an Agreement would need to be executed. You can reach me at mgoebel9@gmail.com
Kind Regards

Hi Ron,

You might want to try LinkedIn or Globalbx.com. Both sites have posting from people looking for partners. You could also try fundsgo.com but they do charge a fee. Good Luck.
