I am telling you ..... Laundromart (Selfserve) + Appartment Building = $$$$$$$
a 3000 square feet Laundromart has to be open 24 hours and self-serve ...In a very Good location ..
and you can buy an appartment building .... tenants will be mailling their monthly payments to your home.

Also, I am a "hands on" type of guy. If I can find an "absentee" business already netting 10K per month, then I am certainly interested in becoming an owner/operator thereby effectively increasing the bottom line as the purchase comes out of escrow. Of course, if "key" personel and managers are in place then that would need to be taken into consideration.

A business already owned absentee that cash flows over 10k a month. And yes they exist and such creatures don't necessarily cost over 1 mil - at least not in the Houston area.

However, running a business without keeping a close watch on it is an invitation to disaster. Another issue is that unless the business is pretty large then your management team will likely be very small - and that puts them in a position to hurt or manipulate you.

If you do go this route make sure the business makes enough to pay the management team well and pay them on performance.

Mark - if I locate one would you actually consider investing?

If you can afford to buy a good quality high yielding business for north of a million dollars and then find top quality managers that you can trust, you may be able to net 10K a month while sitting home. If you find one, let me know.

I agree with Jason. There are a lot of businesses that make $10K a month, but work is required. For example, I own a Franchised Auto Repair business and make more than $10K. I am not a mechanic and have mechanics working for me, however I am at the shop most of the day running the business. I am not sure what you mean by working so much, however any business owner should be ready to put at least 40 hours a week in their business or hire a good manager to run the business for them. Keep in mind though that a good manager costs money.

There isn't one. If earning 10K without working much was a real possibility, wouldn't everyone go that route. Second, if there was a such an opportunity, why would anyone share such a secret on a message board.

No offense to the 2 previous guys who responded, but anyone who says they have a good solution to your answer is likely trying to sell you something. If it seems too good to be true, it probably is...
