It varies. Wine can go as high as 45%; hard liquor, perhaps 25% and beer as low as 18%. It depends on the market and the laws locally, as to how much price competition is allowed to exist. The one we just sold had an overall 30.5% margin, because it was selling a lot of wine. The higher the beer sales, the lower the margin. And beer also takes up more space, so your rent is higher at the same time you have lower gross profits to work with. So, the mix of product sold is key. Call if you want to discuss this furhter.
