Try a deli and/or diner. It's hard work, but good rewards and fun. Plus in the right area it is an excellent investment that will grow. And you can do this anywhere there are people. We doesn't like to eat great food?

Darrick, I own a 158,000 shopping center in Arlington, TX and one of my tenants is interested in selling his business and moving to Indiana to get married. I love his business and believe it is very unique and it has unbelievable potential. However, the current owner's heart and mind are not in it and he would prefer to move to Indiana. Give me a call at 310-998-8300 x 2 to discuss.

How to Buy a Business
WA

Darrick, you won't get very far until you have a sense of what you are really looking for. If you don't, you will lose a lot of time looking at the wrong businesses.

Take some time to think about your core skills and then ask yourself what types of businesses would benefit the most with you at the helm.

Going to the SIC codes can often help trigger ideas.

Take the free Myers-Briggs personality profile as well to get a better sense of your strengths and weaknesses. Then focus on your strengths.

Darrick, depending on your experience and credit, you may be able to buy a suitable business for that level of investment. We have a few small businesses offering seller financing along with some excellent franchise and master franchise opportunities that might work as well. A few are listed on my bizbuysell broker website below. If interested, feel free to contact me directly.

Hi Darrick. Is there a type of business or field that you are interested in? Consider your background, education, amount of time you'll spend at work etc. There are website or online businesses that can be run from anywhere. These type of businesses usually just have intellectual, trademarked property. Then there is retail, restaurant businesses with real property.

With the $30,000 you wish to invest, my guess is you are going to want to go with a website/online or mail order type of business. These are the ones usually willing to do some owner financing if you need it. It's already been mentioned that you need to have extra capital on hand for operational costs etc., so I won't go into all of that.

If you decide you would like something along the website/online/mail order/ebay route, please contact me. I have a few opportunities you might be interested in hearing about. Best of luck to you.

Hello

Please review the opportunity below,

Business Opportunity

eMpasys is making available to you our OSEMS (On Site Electricity Management System), that will allow you to generate additional revenue. Our OSEMS is a great green initiative product that will give commercial and residential property owners an economical choice to save on energy consumption.

The U.S. Department of Energy Fact Sheet reports that a low Power Factor is "expensive and inefficient". It also states that you can "improve your Power Factor to reduce your electric bills and to enhance your electrical system's capacity". Our OSEMS (On Site Electricity Management System), are specially designed to improve Power Factor in homes and businesses and are a must for locations using kVA, Smart or Demand Meters. www.empasys.net

Darrick, it will be difficult to buy a business with $30,000 to invest. Does that include working capital as well? Keep in mind that you'll need more than your down payment to purchase a company. There will be some fees incurred (attorney or accountant perhaps), and some money left aside for emergencies, or deposits. Please don't skimp on getting good professional advice from an attorney or accountant. It's not worth saving that money. There will be businesses out there. Do a search for businesses that are listed under $70,000, and hopefully you'll find an owner that will carry a note for you, or allow you to pay based on an earnout.
