how do i find a business that has closed to reopen as my own?

There is an existing building in downtown chandler that i would like to know the business information and details of why it closed. How do i obtain that information.

You need to be very careful here. Just because a business closed down their business in a strip mall, does not mean they closed down their business. They may have decided to just close that one location or use an online store. You cannot just "reopen a business as your own". It may be a corporation. There may be a trademark on that name. You CAN open a business in that location simliar to what was there, but, you cannot claim the same name. Just wanted to clear that up so you don't have bad information to judge your decision on. The first thing you should do is try typing the address in Yahoo Search. You'll be surprised what you can find out just by doing that. You should be able to find the old business' name that way or at least the property owner. If that doesn't turn anything up you could try asking the business next door who the landlord is. Usually a set of buildings is owned or managed by a single company. If that doesn't work you can try contacting a business broker. Good Luck!
