Work from home options?

Sorry for just grasping at straws, but I'm in a situation where I could really stand to find a job working from home. I see both work from home businesses and franchises on this site. Just trying to start a conversation about successes with any of these business opportunities working from home. I have the start-up cash. I just don't want to get caught up in any kind of get rich quick scheme and I'm hoping to get a feel for whether any of these ideas actually work. Thanks.

Hi Darrell,
I know exactly where you are coming from! My husband and I searched for over a year for the home business opportunity that was right for us. We attended many wealth seminars and basically came away scratching our heads!
Our opportunity is not a 'get rich quick scam' but it is a 'get wealthy quickly with a bit of effort' opportunity! I walked away from my full time teaching job within six months of beginning our home business and we have since brought my husband home from his job (he was flying in and out all over Australia in the mining industry here).
Our opportunity is global and portable....we take our laptop and headset when we travel and love it!

I can absolutely say that anyone can have success with this business as long as they are prepared to put in some effort, about 20 hours per week. Hope this has assisted you Darrell and I know you will find the right opportunity for you.

Hi Darrell, I can understand wanting to purchase a work from home business. Just know that you won't get rich, but, you can make a living. It depends on the type of business, amount of investment, amount of time you are willing to devote to marketing, sales etc. and the training and follow-up support you'll receive. I do have two different types of businesses that are work from home opportunities in case you are interested. They both offer owner financing with a substantial down payment. Here are the descriptions:

One is domain reseller business that also offers hosting through You also get a stable of domains you can resell with written appraisals, 10 of which are considered "premium" and appraise between $3500-$5000 each. And an automated website all for $39,000

The second is an established 10 year old dating service that has lots of media attention through tv, radio and newspapers. It comes with a website, domain (worth $65K alone), tradename certificate, client and newsletter emails, contacts, advertisers, 800 number to use, links + much more. Business is done through internet, postal and phone. All for $85,000. Both are relocatable from home anywhere. Let me know if you are interested in either at I would need a NDA form signed. Thanks and good luck in whatever business you choose .
