Where or how do I go about selling my business ??? How do I find the right appraiser for what I need ?? Can an

I own a hair salon and have 11 employees . I do not own the building that my business is located in. The business is growing and is very profitable. The town where I live owns the building and is in a historic downtown area that is rapidly growing as well.

Angie, interview a few local brokers. Don't waste money on an appraisal. It will sell for a multiple of earnings (2-4 depending on several factors). If you manage and do not perform the services it will be worth more (opens up to a lot more buyers). Make sure you have solid financials including what you do with cash. If you are the brand it will be worth more - if this is a rent-a-chair model where the individual stylists are the draw with be be worth much less. Good luck
