Where can I go to get a pre-approval for an SBA loan?

I am trying to buy a business and planning on putting down 20% for a down. I was asked if I was pre-approved for a SBA loan but I am can not find out where I am suppose to apply for a pre-approval.

Stay away from the big banks, like Bank of America and Wells Fargo. Smaller, local and regional banks are best. Many offer SBA loans. The SBA does not LEND money for business acquisitions; it guarantees 80% of the money the bank would lend you. So the bank is the place to start.
