Trading your credit score for corporate credit

Can somebody please explain to me all these ads I see about trading your credit score so a company can improve their Paydex score and thus obtain loans, etc.???? This reeks of a scam beyond all scams and just seems like a way to defraud lending institutions of millions of dollars. Can anyone explain the legalities and other aspects of this practise? It seems that millions of taxpayer dollars coukld be lost in these schemes. Am I completely wrong about this? If so enlighten me so I understand.

John, I have seen postings on this board advertising pretty much the same thing -- a request for the use of a third party's credit score in order to obtain a loan for a business which would otherwise not qualify. This practice is fraudulent and illegal and anyone who participates in these scames is exposing themselves to substantial liability.

There are many scams out there that involve this. They take a truth and then expolit it and oversell and under serve. The truth is that you can and should build your corporate credit and separate your personal credit from the business but the business has to operating and prodcuing income to get the credit. I consult with business owners and have written a small book about the subject if you are interested let me know and I will send it to you for free.

Ok, I am looking at an ad right now and it states that "you will be a stand in CFO and your credit history will be lined up to match the corporations history." How is this not illegal???????????
Can Robert (the attorney) weigh in? Anybody else?
