South Florida Business

Hi, I'm moving to south Florida Hillsboro Area Near Pompano. This cause of family health issues. Things is that i already sold my business that gave me 8k monthly and that was a conformable wage for my family, and i've searched those area for business and people are like scaring away all those interested on finding out more info of the locations.
They all say, gas stations are bad investment on florida, dry cleaning business has expensive repairs and cheap profit, liquor stores need to much cash and you will live in the store "Probably True" i had one but eventually it ran by it self. and that business in south florida almost are none profit.
Im scared that we move and i will be stuck financially.
And i have approximately 300k to invest to start generating income for my family. I have a capital investment that will give me income for the next 5 yrs. But that will be for savings, i need to start earning, 5 months after our move.
Any suggestions? I DON'T NEED LOAN NEED BROKER ADVISE

Carlos, as a Broker, I can suggest to you that there are a lot of different businesses that are threatened in various areas. Gas Stations are top of the list. (See our blog post: http://combrokerbusiness.wordpress.com/2012/08/08/should-i-buy-a-gas-station/) But despite these threats, there are still SOME good buys out there, even among those that are gaining reputations as "bad investments", including gas stations, dry cleaning services and liquor stores. The key to you, has a do business buyer is to understand exactly why these businesses have gained negative reputations, and what you can do about overcoming or working around those circumstances. In many cases, these negative issues are caused by changes in competition. Some of these competitive pressures occur almost solely in the cities, so by finding suburban or even rural businesses, you may be able to escape those pressures. Understand what is going on in the marketplace you are targeting. That is absolutely critical to your decision-making process.
