Contact the Alcoholic Bverage Control Department. You can easily locate them on the internet. Obtaining a NEW liquor license for a bar is complex and several state law apply. Do your homework before you apply. You need to realize the fact that the application may be denied and you can be stuck with a business that is prohibited from having a liquor license and spend much time and money. I also highly recommend that you negotiate with the seller and/or landlord and ensure you have an exit door in case the application is denied. The process normally takes 3-4 months but longer if the application is protested. I always recommend that they purchase a bar that ALREADY has a liquor license in placed but unfortunately that is not your case
