I would agree with the Craigslist suggestion, but also suggest EXTREME caution. With the number of properties that are currently vacant, there are an enormous number of scams going on, with rentals. Essentially, the scam artist finds a vacant home, advertises it for Rent on Craigslist and shows it as though he/she is either the Owner or a Real Estate Agent. The homes are normally broken into, and you would arrive to find the con artist already inside to welcome you. You like it, give him a security deposit and probably one or two months Rent, and you never see him/her again. The next thing you know, the police are there and you are accused of breaking and entering! There have been several instances locally here, where the crook managed to find keys and the victims had actually moved their furniture in, before the police pounced on them. Two college kids were arrested and spent the better part of a night in jail before it could be straightened out.

Be careful! Craigslist is a great tool for both legitimate people, and thieves.

craigslist works for me every time. Not sure where Clark County is but another option if you are near a hospital, get a hold of the resident coordinator and they can always provide leads on incoming residents. They are also usually on a two or four years plan, so if you get in good with the coordinator, you can keep it rented with medical residents from now until it crumbles.
