Looking into buying into Cinnabon, but see lots of them for sale. Does anybody know why?

Thinking of buying a brand new Cinnabon store, but surprised at the number of stores for sale on this site (I believe it is 43 stores)...can people on this forum bring some light into this franchise? Thanks.

Because you work your BUNS off, for very little return. Because most of them are in Malls, and the Malls are dying in the current economic situation. Because they are dependent upon foods that are fat-oriented, and people are more diet-oriented at this point in time. Because they are not basic foods - they are more luxury-oriented - and people are not spending money they don't have to, which is why the Malls are dying.
