George Barnett's routine is similar to a scam we uncovered rececntly, also stated to be out of the UK. When I questioned the legitimacy of the offer, I received a rather threatening E-mail from Mr. Barnett. USE EXTREME CAUTION, PEOPLE!

In response to my comments, Mr. Barnett contacted me through BizBuySell's messaging system. He did not offer evidence to support the legitimacy of this company; he did not protest that my comments were off base or erroneous. Instead, he offered a message that hinted at a veiled threat. This is what I received:

Mr. Cross, both of these "lenders" must be greeting with extreme, extreme caution. Mr. Barnett's claims are identical to Mr. Richardson's, and we performed due diligence on Mr. Richardson's Company (we do some Commercial Business Loan Brokering) and found that his Company's claims cannot be verified by his own Bank! Moreover, Mr. Richardson's group may not even be located in the UK, as they claim.
