It possible to get a loan if you've been in bus for awhile but personal credit got screwed up frm last yr?

Is it really possible to get a loan nowadays? I have been in business over 5 yrs. The so called recession forced me to lay off employees and I waited too long to do it. Since all of my working capitol got used, some payments were late (never missed), and now my personel credit sucks. The banks wouldn't help me grow when my credit was good, so I can't even talk with them now. I know there really no such thing as grants and investors don't trust new technoligies. I have proven growth in this field and am growing again.(1st yr gross was 160k, 4th yr gross 750k). I don't want to lose everything to some giant co. that finally wakes up and takes the bus from me. Is there anywhere I can get HELP?

Bart, you may want to consider approaching a non-bank lender such as a private equity fund to obtain financing. You'll pay a higher interest rate and you may even have to give up some equity in the business, but they won't be as concerned with your credit if your business is profitable.
