In your view, what is the current state of the economy?

The Government spokespeople say the recession is essentially over, but that there will be a long term recovery that will need to take place. The media says things are doom and gloom, but the media is also, frequently three months behind such cycles. We get mixed messages. What do you think? From your personal/professional perspectives, are we out of the woods? Or is the worst yet to come?

Hey Don, working the other side of the fence, huh?
My view is that we are cycling and things turn around every so many years. Sure this one is a big one but so was the total economy, "The bigger they are the harder they fall". When I was in the Real Estate business, we loved the recession as it got rid of all the people who were just mucking up the market with non-professional listings and appraisals. They left the people who weren't just keeping a license in case a family or friend wanted to sell. They didn't go to education or really care, so they didn't really know the market. This is a good clearing out of a lot of workers that weren't going a good job of being real professionals. Bet they will work harder, get retrained, or get out and stay out of whatever profession they are "mucking up". Sorry, I am very opinionated, but I have been in the work force for over 50 years and have seen a lot. Hope I didn't mess your day. Jon at Edgemaster
