If I'm trying to sell a business in a very short amount of time for less than $50,000. Would a broker help?

The building is rasing my rent an extra $700 a month which I cannot afford. The business is slow but still viable for someone with more experience and money. If I cannot sell I will have nothing at all. But I have weeks to sell. I have no idea what to do or where to start or even if it would bring enough to the table for a broker to interested. Any help would be amazing.

With a very short amount of time there is hardly anything that will help. Unless you have something significant to sell it will be a slow process unless you get very lucky. If you want to list the business (like at Craigslist etc.) then put some useful details down so people understand what is for sale.

Possibly, however, the typical Professional Broker's fee is 10%, but a minimum of $10,000. But if you want to sell quickly, he will have access to a database of buyers. You will need to have excellent books. Give a call to a Broker and pick his brain.
