Try a deli and/or diner. It's hard work, but good rewards and fun. Plus in the right area it is an excellent investment that will grow. And you can do this anywhere there are people. We doesn't like to eat great food? Also, know of 2 possible locations in Florida under a different name that may be available together or separate.

Matt, we recently sold four of them in the Tampa area. I'll give you my assessment. First of all, they have well controlled systems; this is important in any business. Their system allows you own multiple locations, which is a good thing since you will need more then one to make "good" money. Throughout the process I met several people that owned 10, 15+ locations, and they are doing very. By the way, we listed the companies on Saturday, and by Monday we had three prospects. One submitted a full price offer within one week. We had an overwhelming response. Subway is a very sought after business. There's a reason for that. Good luck!

Matt,

You are in for a great deal of competition, low profits and lots of work. Subway created a good name for themselves, but they did it at an expense of their Franchisees. There is a Subway on every corner and their Franchisees have to not only compete with other similar concepts, but also with other Franchisees. It's tough to make money on a 5 dollar sub.
