I want out of retail and I am looking for a buisness to buy, where do I start?

Try a deli and/or diner. It's hard work, but good rewards and fun. Plus in the right area it is an excellent investment that will grow. And you can do this anywhere there are people. We doesn't like to eat great food?

Hel C B,

I must echo Don's sentiments - could you please provide us with more detail? For example, are you an employee or owner? Please provide a bit more detail and we'll all be happy to provide you with some advice.

Thanks!

Why do you want out of retail, are you tired of paying huge dollars to get people to come into your store?
You wanted to be in business for yourself but still want to be in business, just a different one. Take some time off to just drive around and think about what part of being in business you like. Look at other businesses and ask a lot of questions and find something you would really love to do. Then follow up on that idea. Don't be afraid to think outside the box. Many people are very happy walking dogs, cleaning offices, or even knife sharpening. If you don't want to wait for people to come to you you can go out and keep asking until you are satisfied. Start with Edgemaster Mobile Sharpening. Good luck, Jon Holmquist

I don't mean to be thick, (BE NICE!) but your question is somewhat vague. What are you asking, specifically? What kind of business should you buy? Where should you look?
