I need some advice PLEASE? There is alot to my story, but I'm going to make it short if possible.

I have a invention/product to will Calm the Mind, Soothe the Soul and Warm the Heart of anyone who has lost a loved one. I have CAD and/or STEP files and I also have A Prototype and am Patent Pending. I also know what each piece will cost except one. I am working on that now. It is made of Plastic and one piece of stainless Steel. I set out to do this on my own because before I started it I had a backer, but something came up with him and he didn't make it up because I know him. I tried contacting ALOT of companies (like 50 or so) as to license to, but most answered back they have so many emails that it would be 3 to 4 weeks before they could get to me. So what I'm asking is there anyone here with a company that would make and sell my product with me getting a percentage or should I ask for money and get this going myself? Any suggestions will be appreciated.

Harold, What you have not said is whether you have a comprehensive and coherent Business Plan prepared for the people with whom you are attempting to do business. If you do, I would continue along all avenues of opportunity: Follow up on the 50 companies that you of already contacted, see if anyone else out there has a company that might be interested in manufacturing and selling your product, and asking for money to get the product up and running on your own, as well. What you are attempting to do is unquestionably the most difficult kind of task, because the vast, vast majority of investors are only going to want to deal with something that is already making money. They are going to want to know that you have spent everything you have in order to see that you have a personal investment in the product; but moreover, they want to know that there is some semblance of demand out there, for your product.

By taking all three paths to attempt to introduce your product, you also provide yourself with an opportunity to sell it in a multifaceted manner. You may not have to sell the entire patented concept outright, and thereby completely forfeit any ownership, for the future. You may be able to license it to different companies, for different segments of the market, or four different promotional applications, but keeping the central control of the product for yourself.

But anyway you look at it, getting the funding or finding investors or interested licensees is going to be a long and arduous exercise. And again, this is principally because from what you have said, I would assume that there is no current volume of sale or profit.
