I just started 2 websites to build a buzz for my up coming product... please critique

I wrote a book having to do with missed opportunities and how we all can learn from them. The book will be out in November but I am trying to learn website design and optimization.
Any honest feedback on my concept and website design and functionality would be greatly appreciated.
