I am currently looking to purchase an existing business in the so. Calif area, with a preference in OC area.

I am currently looking to purchase an existing business in the southern California area, with a preference in the Orange County area. I am presently looking at B2B service oriented industries but will also entertain light-manufacturing and distribution companies. My preference is a minimum five-year record of accomplishment with an owner that is ready to retire and looking for an exit strategies.
I currently oversee a holding company, Grey Fox Investments, which maintains my personal assets, property management and a small distributing company. Prior to Grey Fox Investments I was the COO and a majority shareholder in a large independent title insurance company, we sold the company in 2004 to a Fortune 500 company and I stay on to run the organization until 2007. After sitting out all the non-compete periods, I am ready to get back to growing a new enterprise.
If you have an opportunity, that makes good business sense, I am able to move quickly with the proper due diligence.

I really can not help you because I am not a broker. But it seems we have a similar background. I would like to check in to see how you are doing with your search and what the market is like for you. I may have some contacts that are useful but like I said I'm really only interested in what you're seeing out there.

Once you have narrowed down the list of prospects and are ready to start negotiations, you might find it helpful to obtain some information on what is considered market practice with respect to legal documentation and resolution of key issues. I am an experienced M&A attorney located in Irvine. I would be glad to offer my perspective. I can be reached at (949) 488-8295.

You need to engage a search specialist now that you have identified the target industry. You are half way there since most people are vague about what they want.

I am in OC also near John Wayne Airport
