I am considering going into the cemetery business. Wanted to inquire on franchise opportunities.

I am a young entrepreneur looking to find a good stable business, which can be run with absentee owner. The cemetery business seems like a good business venture. What do i need to know about getting into this business, what kind of capital do I need to begin? Are there franchise's available? Thanks.

While the cemetery business seems easy at first glance, it isn't. Most states have laws that protect people who have bought and paid for plots. Each cemetery has to have funds escrowed to cover this.
Over the past 10 years, cemeteriers have become like wall street. Greed has taken over. This will ensure that more states are looking close at the industry. Good Luck

Hello dahnish, how much do you know about the business. Do a lot of research, cremation is becoming a very popular way to save money in these hard times. Would recommend you get a job in a cemetery and work for a couple of years first. You need to have more than a business interest to make something work. The best way to learn is to do it. Good luck, Jon at Edgemaster Mobile Sharpening.
