How to market business for sale?

We have a five -year old rental equipment business for sale in the mid-Willamette Valley of Oregon. It sits on two acres. One acres is developed with sales office and equipment area. Other acrea is vacant and hold rental equipment, particularly in the Spring, summer months. We are ready to retire. Love the business, which has done well.

Great question Paulette. A complete marketing plan should be implemented and a professional business broker/intermediary is always a good idea. We use minimally six to ten of the best, highest traffic deal sites on the web, including BizBuySell to maximize exposure to the buying audience. This will add value to your business, shorten the time to sell and increase the odds of finding the best buyer for your business. Having a professional represent you will increase the odds of you maximizing value, keeping more dollars in your pocket at the end of the day, making the transition as smooth as possible and limiting potential tire-kickers and liabilities along the way.
