How far away could a broker's office be and still be effective in selling my salon/boutique? I'm in rural AZ,

I live in a small town in rural northeast AZ. I would love to use a broker to sell my full service hair salon and ladies clothing boutique but since there doesn't seem to be any advertized for at least 65 miles would enlisted that one be any help? I have more choices if I go 150 miles away. Any thoughts would help, thank you!

Your business is a very, locally oriented one. It is vital that the local people know you, trust you and (in most Salons,) getting referrals from customers is key to long term success. The same can be said for the kind of Buyer that would be best attracted to the sale of your business.

We represent Buyers and Sellers across the Country; however, the majority of those are for Corporate transacitons. Sometimes we can represent a small business from a distance. But it depends on the kind of business it is, and a Salon is probably most successfully represented by someone that really knows your local area, for the exact reasons your business is successful now.

In a rural area, you may have to reach out. But I would try to do so with a Broker that knows and hads done a fair amount of business in your specific area, if at all possible.
