I have owned a small machine shop for just over 2 years, I am making money but I know I can do a lot better with some help, I am looking for a silent partner to help me out.

Machine shops are not items that are widely understood by the general public. And if they don't readily understand the business, most people will be hesitant to even learn about it! So, your best bet are friends and family, or perhaps even some of your suppliers, if they are local. You may try some attorneys and accountants you know, who may have clients that are looking for investments. Finally, who do you know that may have been in the business, have retired and are now looking for investments? These are all better options than trolling the Internet...
