There is too much to be listed here, you will have to do a bit of your own research if you really want to learn. Also, browse bizbuysell and look at the numbers, they vary. Google "formula for buying business" but remember it is subjective and will vary depending on different types of business? You have to evaluate is the owner currently working? If so you are not really buying a business but a job so the value is decreased drastically.
