Can I list my business for sale and still keep it confidential from my employees?

We would like to sell our recycled plastic manufacturing business but do not want our employees to know it's for sale. Is this possible?

This is one of the many reasons to use a Broker: Confidentiality is vital with the sale of most businesses, and this is something at which we excel. In most cases, not only the employees, but the vendors, clients and public in general do not know the business is for sale until after settlement occurs. We even work with the new Owner to try to orchestrate the best way to introduce him/her to the staff.
