Definitely!!! Get a good look at their picture ID such as a drivers license ( you need to familiarize yourself on fake licenses).
Interview them and ask questions. The interview starts at the time when contact is made. Ask subtle probing questions but be careful not to probe to deep without permission as you may lose a good buyer. Does the prospect sound believable? Why is he buying? Will they meet with you in person? What are they doing now to generate income? Are they the only principle / decision maker purchasing the business. I can go on but I have to charge you for a training session. Only kidding but you can call me for a confidential no obligation consultation at 508 274 5655 or email me.

Tbere are a number of ways, but none are foolproof. One of this first things tobdo is to ask for phone numbers and his/her address. Then make certain it is his/her true home address.
