Are ROBS a smart way of owning your business? Have about 150K that I would like to use to buy a biz...

Have anyone had a bad experience using their 401K funds to buy a business? I have been thinking about using my 401K funds to buy a business and have read about thousand of people that have done without any tax penalties just yet. I have read online negative/positive opinions from different experts. I just finished reading the lastest memo published by IRS. Although it is not illegal, the IRS does classify it as a questionable transaction. I really want to own my business but 50k in cash is not enough to purchase a solid biz with returns that would allow me to replace my corporate salary. Any insights, is greatly appreciated. Thanks.
