Anyone have info or opinions on Batteries Plus franchises?

I've read it's a decent franchise, but would like to hear some first hand info.

Thanks Bob. That's kind of the impression I was getting. It's one of those potential limitations with most all franchises I suppose, depending on your experience.

Hi Darrell,
I now live in Vero Beach. In the late 1990's I worked for Batteries Plus. They are a good franchise but very expensive. After I resigned, I opened my own similar retail location, two years later opened another. I sold my interest in these locations in 2007. If you have any business sense and drive you can do it on your own, if you aren't ambitious and have tons of money you should pursue the franchise route. I'll be happy to discuss this concept or the battery business in general with you.

I don't really have any knowledge, but the CEO of Batteries Plus was just on CNBC this morning. They didn't go into detail about the franchise, but it was an upbeat piece on how battery sales are booming with sales of over 1 million batteries per week.

Hi Darrell,

I'm probably not the source you're seeking - I work for a franchisor. But I can tell you that Batteries Plus has a good reputation in the franchise industry. Of course your best bet is always to call the franchisees in Item 20 of the Franchise Disclosure Document. Best of luck to you!
