I am in the vending business. I service over 200 vending machines. I get people that ask for healthy stuff all the time. So I put it in for them. Its sells for a little bit and then it stops. Believe me...if that kind of stuff would sell, I would be putting it in as fast as I could. The only way the healthy stuff would beat out what Im putting in there right now is if the Gov. band the stuff that Im putting in there right now. Vending is a good little business if you don't tell people what they should eat and give them what they really want.

Mike, I did some research and while I think it is a good opportunity for someone, it wasn't good for me. I do business with several large office complexes and car dealerships and I asked my contacts about the feasibility of putting machines there would be. There responses were all the same: "We have a vending contract with so and so and they control all the vending machines in our building." So the big office complexes were out. I didn't think I could make enough money at small locations.
vending machine locators were no help either. Out of the three I called only one said they would help BUT I had to provide them a list of prospective sites. Ugh!
I also didn't like the price point. 1.50 cost and sell for 3. You can get them retail cheaper just about anywhere and Sam's is cheaper on the 1.50 wholesale price. I could sell them cheaper but if I can't get into any good office buildings why bother?
So long story short, I passed on it. If I already had a vending biz with some good locations I would jump on it without thinking.

I'm looking into the 5 hour energy machines too. Have you found any info out? Have you been working with Speed King?
