This is one of those businesses I never understood as a franchise. The initial support would be very helpful as you navigate the state-by-state licensing and regs. After that it makes little sense. A great brand is there to provide great products or services where ever you go.

So your kid is in their program. You go on vacation and and see another Kiddie Academy and say, 'Jeez, honey let's throw junior in this facility for a couple of weeks?' Also states can vary considerably according to regs and the adherence to those regs is ALL ON YOU not the franchisor.

If I were you and wanted this franchise I would go on the state websites - in FL there is an entire section on how to operate a daycare facilities. So assume (yikes) number of kids, teachers, rent, insurance, supplies, aspirin(just kidding), utilities and, franchise fees etc etc and presto you have some basic financials. Also search this site under educational services, key words daycare and you will see a lot of info about revenues, employees etc.

Finally, a word about service. As a father of 3 it's all about the teachers - don't care how pretty the building is or the glossy collateral. Just hire right.
