If you can't afford the truck mount route consider this system. Use it to market to large commercial buildings which truck mounts cannot access. This combination cleans extremely well.

Here is a good carpet cleaning forum - at least it used to be: http://www.kleenkuip.com/forum/

The tough part - as usual - is the marketing. Getting the accounts takes a LOT of work. The good part is if the start up fails you are only going to be out $7k or so.

I did extensive research on carpet cleaning a few years back. It is not a terribly complicated business and the marketing or other help provided by the franchiser is probably not worth the franchise fee in most cases.

In addition, Chemdry, in the opinion of most carpet cleaners, isn't a process that cleans very well.

If you want clean carpets you need to be looking at truck mounted, high pressure, high suction very hot water extraction systems.

Also in my opinion - never attempt a start up unless you can easily afford the loss of all time and money - or unless the idea is so good it can make you a billionaire. Most start ups fail. Buy an existing business that is making money.
