Javier,
Seek out a local coin laundry broker in your area that can assist you in understanding the business and will probably have several coin laundries for you to look at. Try the Coin Laundry Association (CLA) in Downers Grove, IL. They will poin tyou in the right direction.

The secret again is: Location, location, location!!! I have a business contact who is the king of laundromats in his area. He has grown to the point where each of his operations costs $1 million to build. Much of the cost is tied up in plumbing and electrical supply installation. That does not mean you have to have that much money in your locations, to start. My point is that he is exceedingly profitable, and if you are spending that kind of money to start each location, it is a great business! BUT, his location selections are precise. You get in the wrong area, and all you will see is red ink, rather than profits. In our Commercial Real Estate Brokerage, we have assisted him in finding locations; so I understand the painstaking selection process he goes through.
