The company has a successful 30 year history. For 25 years it was operated as a sole proprietor with the owner operated as a professional consultant. In 2002 it applied for the SBA 8a program and was accepted. It also has a Small Disavantaged Business status with the District of Columbia. The company is in the management consulting business and has provided training, technical assistance, program design and other services to the US Government, World Bank, UN and other agencies that work in the field of internatiional development. Since 2002 the company has been an active subcontractor in six large USAID contracts. The company is expecting to have revenues in the $500,000 range for 2008 and slightly higher in subsequent years. The company has no outstanding debt and the seller does the daily administration but outsources bookkeeping, payroll, and benefit management. The has a business plan, procedures manual, personnel manual and other documentation. The ideal purchaser would be a large firm with existing USG contracts with DOD, DOL or other agencies that is looking to expand into USAID or international work. The seller is willing to continue to serve as program advisor but would like to have the buyer take over the day to day contract management.
