The Company was started in February 2003 by the current owners, after 20 years of buying timber and supervising logging operations for others. They had enough capital and contacts with landowners, vendors and industry people to be successful right away. This industry works in cycles, commodity based, and the business was started in the beginning of a bull cycle. The industry is now in the bottom of the worse bull cycle that the owners have witnessed. Things seem to be improving though and everyone is more optimistic.
