Business Description
The company was originally started by two
partners in 1991 and they operated the company as a
proprietorship. They specialized in plating for many different
types of small parts for a variety of different industries. In
1997 the current owner bought out his partner and
incorporated the business. During this time period the
company began doing metal plating for custom wheels. Since
then the company has grown significantly and is now known
as the highest quality metal plating facility in the area. When
the company started doing wheels their first large client was
an original equipment manufacturer. Over time they branched
out to 3 piece wheels and after market products. The plating
process consists of six steps. 1. First the wheel is stripped of
any paint or previous finish and hand polished. 2. The wheel
is plated in the first nickel bath to give it a strong coating to
protect against corrosion. 3. Next a copper plating bath to
provide a deep luster and smooth out any surface
imperfections in preparation for the remaining baths. 4. The
wheel is then hand polished and the copper buffed for
smoothness and deep luster. 5. Now the second nickel plating
bath adds to the luster in preparation for the chrome 6. Finally
the chrome plating bath gives the wheel a deep smooth luster.
The company also has the capability to do black chrome
plating. The company has received SBA pre-approval for a
