Business Description

Store has a wide range of products catering to the neighborhood it is located in. Hot lunches and food, groceries, clothing, lottery, cigarettes, ATM, phone cards, etc.

Owners have slowed down as they near retirement and store could use some new energy. Longer and earlier hours would add to sales.

Great opportunity to get into this business for a small price. Owner wants offer. Price recently reduced to $45,000 plus the value of the inventory at cost.

Store is operated in 2,500 square feet on a heavily traveled east west thoroughfare, in the heart of a well established neighborhood, across the street from a high school. Plenty of foot traffic in the neighborhood. Rent is $1,600 per month. Landlord pays all city and county property taxes and building insurance, so a new owner will not have to pay this. There is ample parking and signage. After 3 years, rent will go up to $1,800 per month.
Neighborhood grocery/market is located across the street from a very large high school and in the middle of a residential neighborhood, on a heavily traveled commuter street with a red light right out front. Hot lunches, grocery items, clothing, lottery, phones, ATM. Seller earns additional $200 per month from ATM, and $250 per month from Lottery tickets.
Growth & Expansion:
Seller started accepting EBT for hot prepared food just 6 months ago. As the customers are learning about it sales of hot food are growing every day. This is very very high margin business. Seller states that by expanding the hours the store could do more business, but he does not want to expand the hours himself as he nears retirement. He could open a couple hours earlier in the morning as well as staying a couple hours longer at night. Also, Seller does not sell beer. Addition of beer sales could be an extra profit center.
Support & Training:
Seller will train.
