Within that time the company has built up a sterling repuation based on quality of work from initial enquiry right through to final sign off. The company provides both internal and external painting and decorating services on a commercial basis. The company have a good number of Blue Chip clients who use their services on a regular basis and several of these customers have long tems contracts in place which ensures consistent levels of work year in year out. These customers include councils, housing associations, local authorities, construction companies and public houses to name but a few. The company has built up a highly skilled and trustworthy team of time served decorators that do not require “on the job” supervison. Competition:
As already mentioned the business does very little in the way of marketing preferring to rely on repeat business, referrals and recommendations to generate its sales revenues. It does advertise in yellow pages but could certainly benefit from the introduction of a website to further market its services to a larger audience.
Growth & Expansion:
There is no reason why a new owner could not scale the business up to increase sales and profitability still further. The business has all the necessary accreditations and reputation in place to do this. The vendor has been happy to keep it at its current levels over recent years and enjoys the benefit of having good levels of work in progress and future order book with contracts in place, which could last for several more years based on current conditions. The company spends very little on marketing, has no online presence and does not actively search for new business. New owners with more hunger and desire and with new ideas would be able to secure extra business with a small amount of effort.
