The Company's primary business is to design and build landscaping with a comprehensive maintenance and snow removal service. Services range from simple flower installation to construction management services in the outdoor marketplace, specifically concentrating on commercial landscaping/maintenance and high end residential landscape/hardscape installations throughout Central New York. Sales are principally accomplished by practicing referral marketing by the Project Manager and the Office Manager. Tracking incoming phone calls and the source of the referral is a distinctive competency in developing a relationship with clients. The primary marketing and sales mechanism is referral based direct selling and Web site ordering from established customers. This is by design an operation systemized style of business with a client-company relationship and pride.
Facilities: The Company is fully housed in approximately 6000 square feet of office/warehouse/farm/equipment storage space. The building is owned by a third-party unrelated to the owner of the Company. It is leased for $800 per month with a $200 monthly fee for dumping waste/ debris onsite as fill with a month to month present term. There is a renewal option under the current terms with a minor inflation adjustment.
Competition: In Landscape Maintenance, the most serious competitor is Proscapes, but they do not offer serious landscape design and installation services with no offering of hardscape. In Design/Build arena Landscape East and Aspinall Tree Service are effective competitors. In Hardscape, the competitor is Nelligan Hardscape.
Growth/Expansion: The Company s primary customers are (in order of amount of sales): Industrial/commercial establishments Churches and temples Schools and educational facilities Automotive, medical, food, cleaning services, et. al. High end Residential Clients The active customer base includes approximately 1000 different purchasers. No one customer accounts for more than 8% of total annual sales. The vast majority of customers have been repeat customers for many years. This is a diversified product mix with multiple income streams.
