Our Client, established as an LLC in 2003, is a state licensed and insured electrical contractor specializing in municipal, government, and industrial projects. With their extensive fleet of service trucks, various types of equipment, and a highly experienced staff, the Company is well equipped to perform a multitude of projects. The Company is well-known for its expertise with pumping stations, motor controls, instrumentation, and underground services for electrical power, resulting in extensive experience with water booster stations, wastewater treatment plants, and lift stations. Although the Company has the capability to serve customers throughout the US, it primarily serves customers within its home state. The customer mix is fairly consistent, with 45% of sales in 2008 being government, 30% municipal, 20% industrial, and the remaining 20% commercial. Bid projects make up 60% of sales with service projects making up 40%. Strong, long-term strategic alliances with carefully selected manufacturers and suppliers enable the Company to serve customers specific requirements. Marketing channels include a website, personal networking, referrals, and relationship-based marketing activities. The Company is headquartered in a company-owned 12,000 square foot office and shop near a large city. The facility, acquired in 2005, features a fabrication shop, training room with lab, mechanic garage, and ample space for expansion. Day-to-day business operations are handled by 28 highly-trained, full time and 3 part-time employees, with the 3 highly experienced managers. Five technicians plus an instructor have a certification in solar power installation, allowing for expansion into the rapidly growing field of solar energy installation. While the owner is aware the growth opportunities currently available for the Company, he recognizes that a new owner with greater resources would be better suited to take the Company to the next level.
