Facilities: See website www.stangela.sasktelwebsite.net for detailed picture of complex. First Convent built 1919 and replaced by East wing 1950 and centre wing in 1954. Other additions over the years from 1960's to 2001: gymnasium; connecting wing with dormitory, more classrooms, lab, lounge; portable dormitories providing private rooms; an elevator at main section; and most recently a building housing a generator ensuring heat and light for most of the complex in case of power failure. There are spacious lawns and paved parking area.

Competition: St. Angela s is located 295 km (190 miles) from Saskatoon; 399 KM (248 miles) Regina; 153 KM Swift Current; 160 KM Medicine Hat; 425 KM (265 miles) Calgary. We are on highway 32 from Swift Current to nearby Leader (11 KM) which has all services including a hospital. There is a small municipal airport 7 km from Prelate. The village of Prelate has a post office, credit union, grocery store, bar-hotel, Catholic church, and FRIENDLY PEOPLE. Predominant industries in the area are farming, ranching, oil and gas production.

Growth/Expansion: No leasing. The land and all buildings belong to the Ursuline Sisters of Prelate. This complex was the motherhouse of the Sisters and a boarding school for girls grades 9 to 12 which was operated by the Sisters. Girls came from various parts of the world to attend the Academy, but mainly from Western Canada.
