Business Description

A very well established business with strong loyal clientele in rural Central Montana is for sale. This business is a combined NAPA Auto Parts and Hardware Hank. The NAPA portion of the store has been in business since 1959 and the Hardware Hank store has been in business since it started out as a Coast to Coast in 1960. These stores were combined in a newer building in 2014 by the current owners and have really boomed since. This store is the only auto, AG and heavy duty trucks parts store for 45 miles to the closest competitor, the hardware is one of two in a community of 1,000 and a service area of 3,000. The competing hardware store specializes in lumber and building hardware and this one specializes in general hardware plumbing and electrical products. In addition to NAPA and Hardware Hank lines we carry many other items and lines, we are a welding gas stock point with weekly delivery, a propane filling station with daily delivery if needed, NAPA has nightly delivery Monday-Friday and weekly hardware delivery every Monday. We also deal with numerous other vendors from Montana's largest city that can be delivered via the NAPA truck. We currently carry local and Montana made gifts. The current building was built in the late 1990's is all steel with another lease building that has heated storage and two owned cold storage facilities. The rental building is next to two other buildings for sale that could all be had for future expansion. The primary economic drivers are agriculture, construction, tourism, petroleum pipelines and the recent wind energy boom with some large upcoming projects in the works locally. This store is fully stocked with a wide variety of inventory and room for someone's imagination to increase with the adjoining properties.
This would be an excellent opportunity for a family wanting to escape big city living and everything that goes along with it. We have great schools and medical facilities locally. We are 1 ½ hours to Billings and Bozeman and 2 ½ hours to Great Falls and Helena. You can be on the Musselshell River in minutes and access to four mountain ranges and five lakes within a half hours drive, offering many motorized and non-motorized recreation opportunities year around including access to three great ski areas.
