Business Description

Very Well established Machine shop serving several well know aero space companies. Opportunity to pick up a well respected name and reputation in the industry. The business has been run by the founders widow and one machinist for several years. 2015 Adjusted profit was $38,000 for a very part time owner! This could be a good add on to an existing machine shop or a good way for an experienced machinist to get into their own business.
The business has not been marketed aggressively for years. Although the current owner does go in everyday, she has been content to just let the business drive itself and has decided now is time for her to retire. Equipment included several CNC machines and all the equipment was recently appraised at $75,000 in its current condition.

Furniture, Fixtures, & Equipment (FF&E):

Facilities:
Business is in a 5000 sq. ft. location and has been there for many years. It needs to be moved into an existing manufacturing location or into a smaller space. The lease is currently month to month but a longer lease is available. There is a ton of equipment that is no longer being used and will be cleaned out by seller. All equipment being used was recently appraised at $75,000 and is included in the price. There are several CNC machines.
Competition:
The current aero space market is competitive but this company has a 70 year track record and has a very good reputation. They do work for many of the major aero space companies and have a continuous back log of business. There is approximately $200,000 in parts and product in inventory including finished goods ready to be shipped out as needed by their customers. Seller understands the buyer will need to negotiate what inventory they wish to keep.
Growth & Expansion:
At one time this business did $800,000 in sales but that was many years ago. The business has been doing $175,000 - $200,000 per year with one machinist since the founder passed away several years ago. The current owner who worked in the business along her husband has kept the business running out of loyalty to her customers. Full time working owner can increase sales and output.
Support & Training:
The widow of the original founder has been keeping the doors open for the last several year with only one full time machinist. The machinist will stay. Although she is there often, the current owner does not put in a full time effort. An aggressive owner operator could rebuild the sales.
Reason for Selling:
Retire
